"Right to Work"
The State of Arkansas has an amendment called the "Freedom to Work" amendment No. 34 that states:
"No person shall be denied employment
because of membership in or affiliation with or resignation from
a labor union, nor because of refusal to join or affiliate with
a labor union; nor shall any corporation or individual or association
of any kind enter into any contact, written or oral, to exclude
from employment members of a labor union or persons who refuse
to join a labor union, or because of resignation from a labor
union; nor shall any person against his will be compelled to pay
dues to any labor organization as prerequisite to or condition
of employment."
An acts exists called the "Anti-Violence Act 193 of 1943" and it states:
"An act making unlawful use of force
or violence or threats thereof to prevent or attempt to prevent
any person from engaging in any lawful vocation and providing
penalties for the violation thereof; making it unlawful for any
person acting in concert with other persons to assemble and prevent
or attempt to prevent by force or violence any person from engaging
in a lawful assemblage and providing penalties for the vocation
thereof; defining the term "labor dispute"; making the provisions
of this Act cumulative of existing laws; and providing a severance
of saving clause and declaring an emergency."
